I was given the opportunity to share my thoughts and opinions on NDPS CASES.
Due to the lack of official manpower, the number of NDPS cases pending has increased at an alarming rate. Some of the Major issues are occurring as a result of limited official manpower which include: -
-A Coordination problem between Officials and the Court.
-Failure to Produce a Witness and the accused person for deposition and many more.
which As a result, the NDPS TRIAL is to be less effective, and accused persons have a better chance of being acquitted or receiving a reduced sentence in NDPS cases.
To avoid such circumstances in the future and to make NDPS TRIALS more successful, a suggestion has been made to increase official manpower by assigning Respective I.O of their native locations in departments of NDPS located in various areas for efficient working and Proposal for establishing a Fast Track Court for NDPS trials.
